didn't do anything exciting

One benefit of being a teacher, at least in Pennsylvania, is that I have never, in my whole life, not had a summer vacation. Of course I had summer jobs, but they were finite-and even the worst of them added to my bank account and I knew it would soon end.

3 months of not getting up early unless I want to-of controlling my schedule-of choosing to be lazy or productive-and reading a book a day if I want to. Even the classes I am taking are web-based and on my schedule. I'm feeling spoiled rotten.

Reread a great part of Wallis and Edward, the Letters 1931-1936 today.

I also did three loads of laundry, went to the gym, weeded the flowerbeds and cooked a pretty fab dinner. I deserve a dark chocolate Snickers for all that industry.
