frittered the day away.

The rain has come with a vengeance, and I feel remarkably non-ambitious. I did attack the hutch, straightening out linens and reorganizing. Cleaned off the top, and dragged in boxes for the crystal. But that's about it!
Cold, rainy days are for reading. Not for working. As Dorothy Sayers says:
"Nothing goes so well with a hot fire and buttered crumpets as a wet day without and a good dose of comfortable horrors within." I think I'll light a fire, toast a crumpet, and start a new mystery.
